Apple analyst from KGI Ming Chi Kuo, has given his predictions for year 2016 that Apple’s year-on-year sales from 2016 will continue to fall. The total iPhone shipments are likely to fall below 200 million units which will end up not meeting market expectations.
Moreover, Ming Chi Kuo predicts that Apple might not see its peak iPhone Times and iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will witness declining sales when compared to its predecessor. The downfall in the sales of iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus is the rise of replacement demand in the developing markets not being fast enough to cover the meek demand from developed economies.
Even though the reports and rumors suggest that next iPhone 7 will come with dual-camera set up, KGI is not sure if Apple could recover.
KGI is also skeptical about Apple’s iPhone SE achieving 3.4 million pre-orders in China. The company has also provided no solid evidence for this number, though, we can only make sure of it via Apple’s Financial Report of 2016.
