Steve Jobs launched its first Apple iPhone on January 9, 2007. He would have never imagined that after 7 years his company will be close to selling it one billionth smartphone. At the end of 2015, the company sold 896 million iPhones. If the company has sold 50 million iPhones in the first quarter and will sell 44 million in the second as per expected, by the summer it will have to sell 10 million, which will be close to company’s target.
It is likely to happen during July unless the company recent 4-incher does not deceive, and this is to happen three months before Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus finally unveil. To be more precise, the Wall Street Journal are already betting this date to be 20th of July.
It is also important to note that Apple sold its one billionth iOS device in November 2014. The numbers are growing very rapidly, with half of the iPhones’ figure being purchased just in the last two years.
